Supporting the Next Generation of Marketers.
For almost 20 years, HBMA has given over $100,000 in scholarships to deserving students.
The HBMA Scholarship Program awards recipients with monetary funds earmarked for college tuition, books, and living expenses while in school. Scholarships are awarded in the Fall and Spring terms. Scholarship applications for the Fall term are due to the HBMA Career Development chair no later than June 30 of that calendar year, while applications for the Spring term are due by October 31.
Applicants can only receive one scholarship per calendar year.
Each scholarship from the HBMA is valued at $750.00.
- Students must meet the following criteria to be considered for a scholarship:
Applicants must be high school graduates who have been accepted to an accredited school and have declared a major in marketing or a related field, or college students pursuing a qualifying degree. - Qualifying degrees include Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field.
- Applicants must have a sponsor who is a current HBMA member or an HBMA member company that can recommend students for scholarships. If you do not have a sponsor, please make a note on your application and our Scholarship Programs committee will help to find one.
- Applicants must also submit proof of registration and a transcript.
- When submitting the application and required documents, applicants are asked to write a letter explaining their education pursuit, their goals, and their intention to use the scholarship.
- Students must maintain a 3.0 grade point average.
- Applications will be reviewed by the HBMA Board of Directors and the Scholarship Committee. Many factors, including the student’s major, grade history, need, and goals will be considered in determining final recipients.
A limited number of scholarships are available each term. All applications are reviewed and considered.
